Emily Walter Seitz has published poetry in several reviews. A graduate of the University of Michigan, she has lived in Poland, France, and Italy; in Italy she both taught and studied language in preparation for translating poetry. Seitz was a writing fellow at Northern Michigan University, where she completed her MFA. She lives and teaches in Missoula, Montana.

Euclid wouldn’t
admit the moon is a circle or an olive pit
is round as a fig or ripe plum.
