Fancy

          Seaside Heights Amusement Park
              Late October 2012

Let the storm and its punish. Gasps and adders,
knock-coils, the spin, its winds like children running out
of breath, into the beetling rain—let it help us
rearrange.
Consider the moment just before the tidal tore off
the corner of the boardwalk and carried with it a coaster
as its captive. How destruction waits on the edge of things.
