Virginia Barrett is a writer, educator, editor, and activist whose poetry has appeared in Poetry of Resistance: A Multicultural Anthology in Response to Arizona SB 1070. She is the editor of two anthologies of contemporary San Francisco poets, including Occupy SF: Poems from the Movement. A recipient of a 2017 grant from the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation, she holds a BA in English from the University of Virginia, an MAT in art from the Rhode Island School of Design, and an MFA in writing from the University of San Francisco. Barrett lives in San Francisco.
