Smoke Bushes
I bought two for my wedding,
planted them in pots on the patio by the pond.
It was September. They were purple-black,
not what they said they were on the tag,
not what they said they were on the tag,
frothy fluffy buff-pink summertime bloom clusters,
the darkest a plant can be, just enough purple not to look dead.
