ships down the river Whispered Pharaoh
pharaoh
in my best tree-voice Felt the pallid
pockets of earth-traps by root beds and kept
looking for bergamot, the coned nose
of mangoes Something dripping something
halved    The equity of nightfall    Counted Rainfall
