Cecily Parks is the author of the poetry collections Field Folly Snow and O’Nights, and the editor of the anthology The Echoing Green: Poems of Fields, Meadows, and Grasses. Her poetry has appeared in Best American Poetry 2020 and 2021. She holds an MA in poetry from Johns Hopkins, an MFA in Poetry from Columbia, and a PhD in English from the City University of New York Graduate Center. She teaches in the MFA program at Texas State and lives in Austin.

Laurel, sorrel, a quarrel sung
flying into her reflection.
