Jenea Havener, a finalist in Narrative’s Spring 2022 Story Contest, holds a degree in English with an emphasis on creative writing from the University of Kansas and cowrote the award-winning short film And What Remains. Born and raised near the Flint Hills in Kansas, she teaches creative writing to teens at the Lawrence Arts Center. She lives in Kansas with her husband and three children.
