Letter to Myself in the Future #4

What do you need to hear to make you happy?
Every morning at 8 a.m. I slide my heart inside a folded sheet
of paper and tape down the opening.
All night my heart remembers the paper,
how it buried it like snow. And maybe the memory
will brush your hair at certain hours, layers
of thin white time between us. Do you remember today?
