Spot the Stations

A Story

by Pascha Sotolongo

I want to say it started with Spot the Stations. The app. Have you heard of it? They alert you every time one of the three space stations will be visible in your area, provide the angle too: 40 degrees, 60. Then you rush outside at the appointed hour—eleven thirty at night, three in the morning, it varies—and gape like a child at that bright point whizzing by at 17,150 miles an hour. Only my abuelita knows this, but I choke up every time.
