Cameo

by Katie Beswick
In Gordon Square, Woolwich.

                    I’m dancing, delirious—fifteen.

Mum beeps her horn

                                  shouts,
                                                          Get in! Now!

        Summoned by my friend;

                                    scared of how I’m tripping, wild—

               Around us tramps are also
                                                                     stumbling
                                                                                                pissed.
