Kate Cayley, a winner of Narrative’s 2025 Winter Story Contest, is the author of the novel Property, as well as two story collections and three poetry books. Her plays have been performed in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. She is a recipient of the Trillium Book Award, an O. Henry Prize, and the Mitchell Prize for Poetry, and her work has appeared in Best Canadian Poetry, Best Canadian Stories, and Best Canadian Speculative Writing. She lives in Toronto with her wife and their three children.
